Announcing Black Women Writers Week 2026!

Spoken Black Girl is honored to be the founding organizer of Black Women Writers Week in celebration of Women’s History Month, which will take place annually from March 1-7. This week will be composed of a digital marketing campaign using the hashtag #Blackwomenwritersweek to uplift Black writers past & present.

The Living Legacy Series

A Digital Archive by Spoken Black Girl

During the final week of March 2026, in honor of Women’s History Month, Spoken Black Girl presents The Living Legacy Series — a video storytelling campaign celebrating Black women writers across genres and generations.

We are the integral puzzle pieces that build legacy.

Through short video reflections, share:

• The writers who made their work possible
• The legacy they are writing toward
• What they hope future generations will inherit
• Who they write for — and why

These submissions will become part of a digital archive featured during Black Women Writers Week 2026 and preserved on our platform as an ongoing record of literary memory and cultural contribution.
